Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia is a fearless, experienced litigator. He represents businesses, government entities and individuals in Construction, Health Care, Textile, Real Estate and Local Government, and brings more than 29 years of combined experience as an attorney and paralegal.

No two cases are alike, and years of complex disputes have taught him to build each litigation strategy around the case in front of him. Having drafted commercial, construction and municipal agreements himself, he can advise clients clearly on what those contracts say and what they mean for them.

Much of his work is in Florida municipal law. Today he is part of the team that represents the City of North Lauderdale and serves as Special Magistrate for the Town of Southwest Ranches. He handles code violations, code enforcement hearings, appeals, lien reduction hearings and municipal foreclosure actions. Corporations, developers and contractors that do business with municipalities across Florida have turned to him as well, and he has been part of numerous successful bid protests for contractors, vendors and public bodies.

His construction litigation practice is just as broad: Chapter 713 (Fla. Stat.) lien foreclosures, construction defect and unlicensed contractor actions, wrongful termination, fraudulent inducement and breach of contract cases.

In real estate disputes, he handles partition, specific performance, slander of title, title disputes, evictions, unlawful detainers and foreclosure.

Several corporations rely on Michael for all of their legal matters, from shareholder and contractual disputes to employment, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements.
